New Patients
Welcome to ProCare Dental.
The hardest part is over — you've scheduled your visit. Your first appointment lays the foundation for a lifelong relationship with our team, and we'll do everything we can to make you comfortable from the moment you arrive.
Before your visit
Register online in 5–10 minutes
For the smoothest first visit, please complete your registration forms (patient information, medical history, dental history) from your phone or computer before arriving. All forms are HIPAA-compliant and transmitted securely — no printing, scanning, or paperwork required at the office.
- Valid photo ID
- Your insurance card (or send a photo ahead)
- List of any medications you take
- Recent X-rays or records from a previous dentist (optional)
- Questions you'd like to ask — bring them all
Your first visit
What to expect, step by step
From greeting to treatment plan, here's how your first 60–90 minutes at ProCare Dental will flow.
- 01
Greetings
From the moment you walk in, you'll be welcomed by our friendly front-desk team. Please bring a valid photo ID and your insurance card if you'll be using benefits. Prefer a show on the TV? Just tell us — every operatory has a screen and Bluetooth headphones.
- 02
Meeting your dentist
You'll sit down with one of our dentists to review your medical history and talk through any oral-health concerns. Your first visit typically runs 60–90 minutes and includes bitewing X-rays, a comprehensive exam, and a cleaning.
- 03
Digital X-rays
Unless you've recently had X-rays taken elsewhere, we'll capture modern digital images with AI assistance — high quality, minimal radiation. For implants, root canals, or wisdom-tooth extractions, we may recommend a panoramic or 3D CBCT scan.
- 04
Dental health scan
Using our iTero-class 3D intraoral scanner, we capture a detailed model of your teeth and gums in minutes — no goopy impression material. This makes planning for crowns, bridges, Invisalign, and overall care faster and more accurate.
- 05
Getting to know each other
Tell us about prior treatment, current medications, and anything that's been bothering you. Even a 'just getting acquainted' visit helps us understand what matters to you most.
- 06
Comprehensive exam
Your dentist will examine every tooth and your gums, looking for cavities, wear, recession, and bite issues. Let us know about any health conditions — they can influence your oral health and treatment options.
- 07
Oral cancer screening
Every adult patient receives a painless 2-minute VELscope oral cancer screening at no extra cost. Early detection is the single biggest factor in oral-cancer survival.
- 08
Fluoride & cleaning
Most first visits include a professional cleaning. If it has been a while or we detect signs of periodontal disease, we may schedule a longer deep-cleaning visit. A topical fluoride treatment helps strengthen enamel.
- 09
Treatment plan & payment options
Before you leave, our care coordinator walks you through your personalized treatment plan, pricing, and payment options. We verify insurance benefits and explain any out-of-pocket cost up front.
